Hailing from the UK, Downpour are a powerhouse metalcore band. With a potent blend of searing riffs, impassioned vocals, and relentless energy, they're carving out their own space in the UK metalcore scene.

Downpour's journey began with a shared love for the raw intensity of melodic hardcore music and a desire to push boundaries. Drawing inspiration from the likes of classic hardcore legends and modern melodic innovators, they've honed a sound that's both ferocious and melodically rich.

Their lyrics delve into the depths of the human experience, touching on themes of resilience, struggle, and defiance. With each track, they channel raw emotion into anthems of empowerment, resonating with fans who find solace and strength in their music.

Downpour’s first single Losing Grip has been featured on BBC RADIO 1 and the band are set to play Burn It Down Festival this Summer, as well as multiple tours and support dates set for the next year and further.

Today we checked out their latest single ‘Validation’.

RIFFS ARE MERCILESS

The powerful sound Downpour have is clear from the beginning of this track. The riffs are merciless and the melodies are unmistakably catchy. It becomes obvious that a band is at work here that knows its craft.

Built on a solid foundation of powerful guitar riffs and dynamic drums , the band unfolds its musical potential. The vocals are a perfect mix of cleans and some heavy screams, showing the versatility of the band.

The lyrics are well written, powerful and emotional.

MUSIC TO GET YOU PUMPED

The music video is also quality, production is punchy and it perfectly captures the raw energy of the band. The combination of powerful riffs, complex arrangements and emotional lyrics shows the musical skill and creative vision that has gone into the music.

OUR CONCLUSION:

We really enjoyed listening to this track and hope to catch Downpour at one of their live dates. A really impressive track where the band demonstrate their ability to combine powerful music with profound lyrics.
