Norrtåget is the first song of six to be released from a set of songs recorded during the fall of ‘23 by death metal band ‘Kattlik’.

It’s a song about the raw beauty of the wilderness in the north of sweden, as seen from a train. Leaving the gray of the city and rolling into a sea of green. Being surrounded by the natural beauty of the landscape and still completely disconnected from it, stuck behind the window of the cart.

In true Kattlik fashion the song is a mix of groove- doom- and thrash metal perfectly melted together into Kattliks own special flavor of Death Kattlik is a powerful death metal band that blends latin grooves with Swedish melancholy.

Lyrics in Spanish, Swedish or English give their own unique feel to each song, with the common thread of brutal primeval power.

BRUTALITY is the word that springs to mind as we delve into the single ‘Norrtåget’

The guitar on this track has you headbanging with simple but powerful riffs. As the vocals begin, everything combines to create a raw death metal sound that really pounds and it almost leaves you hypnotised.

The band takes the listener into a melancholic and intense dark soundscape.

The track is not technical but thunderous in it’s riffs and delivery. It makes the song memorable and you will be repeating it in your head once you have listened.

Their ability to mix heavy doom and sludge riffs with the cutting precision of death metal creates a stunning soundstage. This combination is further enhanced by the impressive drumming. This instrumentation provides a solid foundation for the deep, rumbling vocals and the voice achieves an almost mesmerizing effect through the musical accompaniment.
